LSU's junior wide receiver, Malik Nabers, has officially declared for the NFL draft, signaling his departure from the Tigers. Nabers, hailing from Youngsville, shared the news through a statement posted on X.
In his heartfelt message, he expressed gratitude for the unforgettable moments at Death Valley, where dreams became a reality for him. Nabers acknowledged the bittersweet farewell to Saturday nights spent in the iconic stadium.
This decision follows LSU's recent successes, securing the top recruit for the Class of 2025, quarterback Bryce Underwood. Additionally, head coach Brian Kelly made significant changes to the defensive coaching staff.
Notably, Nabers played a crucial role as one of Heisman Trophy-winning quarterback Jayden Daniels' key receivers. Culminating the season with remarkable stats, including 14 touchdowns and 1,569 yards, he leaves a lasting legacy at LSU. Nabers now holds the all-time career receiving yards record for the university, surpassing the previous record held by Josh Reed with 3,003 yards.
